An East Bay native, Rowena received her degree from the University of California Law, San Francisco; her B.A. from Mills College; and an A.A. from Laney College.

As an Oakland City Council constituent services coordinator and State Legislative District Director for Asm.Mia Bonta, Rowena has been at the forefront of efforts to organize neighborhood activism, address blight and illegal dumping, fix potholes, and shut down drug hot spots.  Currently, she is leading efforts to secure Oakland’s fair share of State resources to fight human trafficking, reduce gun violence and protect the clean air we all breathe.
